Some of my fondest memories from childhood are in the kitchen with my grandmother. Living with my family until her death, I learned many things from her. From how to bake a great pound cake to cleaning greens, but most of all how to lean and depend on God.
Widowed with three young girls, my grandmother supported her family against all odds. I am forever grateful for the legacy of love she left in our family.
This is a touching post
ReplyDeleteYour grandma sounds like an amazing woman. I know it couldn't have been easy raising children all on your own, especially in the time period she must've been a young mother. God is so good. <333
ReplyDeleteBTW, I really love the new blog layout :)
Emily, my grandmother was an amazing women. She was fiercely independent and the rock of the family. I loved her dearly.
ReplyDeleteI've only been blogging for about a month. It's finally all coming together. I'm glad you like it.
