Liebster Blog Award

Last week I was nominated for a Liebster award by Britiany at Craft CrazinessThank you so much Britiany!

The Liebster award is given to blogs with 200 followers or less who deserve to be noticed. Once given a Liebster, the nominee must then nominate 10 other bloggers who deserve the award.

Here are the questions my nominee asked:

1. If you could travel back in time where would you go?
If I could go back in time it would probably be the late 1950's and 1960's. Aside from the Jim Crow South, it seems as if life was much simpler. I love listening to stories of my mother's childhood. I also love the fashion and music of the era.
2. What is place that you have visited?
When I was in college I traveled with the Centenary College Choir. The choir toured nationally and internationally, but I have fond memories of traveling through Louisiana. Best bread pudding I ever ate in Tibedeaux, Louisiana.
3. Do you have a hidden talent? If so what is it?
I'm not so sure my talent is hidden, but I sing. I even studied music at the collegiate level and even went to on of the nations top performing arts schools.
4. What are the top 3 things on your bucket list?
  • Own a successful business
  •  Learn to swim (I never learned in school)
  • Go on a road trip all over the United States visiting historic sites and eating great food with my husband.
5. What is your favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving hands down. There is nothing better than great food and fellowship. I also enjoy Thanksgiving because it gives us a time to reflect on all of the blessings God has given us.
6. What is your favorite movie?
I really enjoy the Love Comes Softly movie collection.
7. What is one lesson you hope to pass on to your child(ren)?
To love God with all of your heart and trust in Him.
8. What is your favorite app (if you have a smart phone)?
 Sorry, I don't have a smart phone.
9. What is your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve would be not doing your best. I believe everyone should do everything to the best of there ability. No half stepping here.

  2. I found you from your comment on Tori's blog. You had me sold at bread pudding. Now that's all I want! I love the 1950s too. Their clothes were so amazing, and I agree, it mostly seemed like a simpler time. I love your tab on food allergies. My husband is allergic to something most people don't think of, food coloring. My grandmother is allergic to many of the same things as your daughter. Raising awareness like that is great!
