Laddies Who Lunch: A Review

This week has flown by. I can't believe it is Friday already. Getting things ready to move, fighting spring colds, and keeping up with Catherine has made me a busy bee. I was able to take sometime to visit with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law this week.

With the weather being nice yesterday, we all gathered for lunch at Romano's Macaroni Grill. This is not the first time I have eaten at this restaurant, but it was the first time since Catherine was diagnosed with multiple food allergies.  Romano's Macaroni Grill was recommended to me by another food allergy mom. I must say I was very impressed.

Before we went to the restaurant, I was able to see the allergen menu online. I was able to see exactly what items Catherine and I could enjoy. Once we arrived at the restaurant I notified our waiter of our food allergies. I then explained my concerns about cross contamination and I was pleased to know that measures were being taken to prevent contamination.

Catherine and I had Chicken Under a Brick without the potatoes. Instead we substituted the potatoes with gluten-free penne pasta in a garlic olive oil sauce. It was delicious! Best of all everyone at the restaurant was friendly and helpful. Catherine also enjoyed coloring the crate paper that covered the tables.

If you are looking for a place to dine that the whole family can enjoy, I recommend Romano's Macaroni Grill.

  1. We used to have this restaurant here, and the recently turned it into a Joe's Crab Shack. I've only ate at Macaroni Grill once when I was in high school. I'm glad they were so helpful, kind, and sensitive to Catherines food allergies <3
